After your web browser has downloaded the ShopIntegrator WordPress ecommerce plugin, follow the Installation steps below:
Register for a Free No Obligation 30 Day ShopIntegrator Account
Quickly register for your Free No Obligation 30 Day ShopIntegrator Account by clicking on the Get Started Free button to open a new window with the registration page.
Once you have registered for your ShopIntegrator account you will be sent an email with an account activation link, click on the link in your email to activate your account. Check your SPAM folder in case you think it has not arrived as your email software may not recognise ShopIntegrator as a sender in your address book and place it in the SPAM folder by mistake.
Later on in these installation steps you need to tell your ShopIntegrator WordPress ecommerce plugin what your unique ShopIntegrator account Client Code is so that it knows which is your online store. To find out what your unique ShopIntegrator account Client Code is, logon to your ShopIntegrator admin console using the logon page link here: ShopIntegrator Admin Logon and once you've logged on, click on the Account/User Profile & Subscription Upgrade link from the Shop Admin Homepage as shown below where you will see your unique ShopIntegrator Client Account code.
Install ShopIntegrator WordPress plugin using method (2A) or (2B) below
Decide your preferred way of installing the ShopIntegrator WordPress ecommerce plugin in to your WordPress dashboard by choosing one of the two methods described below:
(2A: WordPress Dashboard Install) : Installing the ShopIntegrator WordPress ecommerce plugin through your WordPress blog dashboard is the easiest choice.
Logon to your WordPress admin dasboard then click on the plugins menu to expand this if it is not open and then click on the Add New menu item as shown below.
Beneath the Install Plugins heading, click on the Upload link.
Click on the Browse button and choose the .zip file you downloaded from this ShopIntegrator web page and saved to your local computer's filesystem.
Click on the Install Now button to upload the plugin to your WordPress blog, entering your blog's ftp username and password when asked to do so in the WordPress dashboard.
OR
(2B: FTP Install) : To upload the plugin directly to your website WordPress installation directory using ftp you first download the plugin from this ShopIntegrator webpage and unzip the contents of ShopIntegrator .zip file downloaded. Then transfer the shop-integrator-ecommerce folder by ftp in to your blogs plugin directory ( /wp-content/plugins/ ) so that you end up with the directory:
/wp-content/plugins/shop-integrator-ecommerce/
Activate ShopIntegrator WordPress Ecommerce Plugin
In your WordPress dashboard, find the plugins menu link and click on it to take you to the list of installed plugins.
You should see the plugin - ShopIntegrator Ecommerce Connector - Activate it.
WordPress Dashboard Ecommerce Plugin Settings
In your WordPress dashboard you will have a new ShopIntegrator Ecommerce sub menu item showing under your WordPress dashboard Settings menu.
Click on Settings ShopIntegrator Ecommerce menu item to go to our plugin's settings page to link your WordPress online store to the account you registered for in step 1.
You will need to enter your ShopIntegrator Client Code on this WordPress setting page and then click the Save Changes button on this page when you have entered it.
Add Ecommerce To Your WordPress Website
With our plugin activated, you will have an easy way of using your WordPress dashboard to add ecommerce to your website in to your site's sidebar using step 5.1 and your posts and pages shown in 5.2 below.
5.1 Various 'Store ...' widgets listed if you click on the Widgets sub menu item under your dashboard's Appearance menu. If your site's Theme is widget enabled, you'll be able to drag and drop Store widgets in to your sidebar and see them on your blog.
5.2 A ShopIntegrator button on the WordPress Visual Editor when you edit your posts and pages:
Clicking on this ShopIntegrator button will launch an Ecommerce Plugin Picker window. If you do not see the WordPress Visual editor tab when you edit posts/pages, see the WordPress Plugin FAQ's tab above on this page.
The WordPress Ecommerce Plugin Picker allows you to place Buy Now, Add to Cart, Checkout buttons etc in to your blog pages and posts. You'll now need to use the ShopIntegrator admin console to create your products first before you may insert them in to your pages and posts. So for now, close the WordPress Ecommerce Plugin Picker window and move on to the next step.
Create A Product To Put In To Your WordPress Website
Logon to your ShopIntegrator admin console using the account you registered for in step 1. Follow this logon page link here: ShopIntegrator Admin Logon and once you've logged on, click on the Getting Started Guide link from the Shop Admin Homepage to take you through the simple steps for creating your product and adding it in to your WordPress website using the WordPress Ecommerce Plugin Picker above.
Choose the WordPress website type at the beginning of the Getting Started Guide to see the right instructions for using ShopIntegrator with WordPress.
Do I still need to register for a ShopIntegrator account?
Yes, you will still need to register for a ShopIntegrator account in order to create your store's products, shipping plans etc. using the ShopIntegrator online admin console.
Do I still need to copy and paste the ShopIntegrator ecommerce plugin script in to my pages?
No, by installing the ShopIntegrator WordPress ecommerce plugin it means you point and click to insert your ShopIntegrator products and shopping basket/cart straight in to your web site using your WordPress admin dashboard.
I don't see the ShopIntegrator button when I edit posts/pages as I don't have the Visual editor tab in my WordPress editor?
If the Visual Editor is disabled for your user you will not see the Visual editor tab when you edit posts/pages, as shown below:
In your blog's dashboard, find the Users menu link and click on it.
Find your WordPress username and click on its 'Edit' link to take you to the Personal Options page for your profile.
To enable the WordPress Visual Editor for you user, make sure that there is NO TICK in the box next to the 'Disable the visual editor when writing' text. You want it to look like the image shown below.
If you have unticked the Visual Editor setting, save the change by clicking on the Update Profile button at the bottom of your Personal Options page.

Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
Deactivate and delete your older ShopIntegrator WordPress Ecommerce Plugin
In your WordPress dashboard, find the plugins menu link and click on it to take you to the list of installed plugins.
You should see the plugin - ShopIntegrator Ecommerce Connector. Click on the Deactivate link and then click the Delete link to remove the older ecommerce plugin version.
